Windows 7 & Vista ‘God Mode’ Folder

Posted: February 25, 2010 in Software

Although Windows 7 & Vista control panel (especially Windows 7) is a good place to customize, configure and change your Windows setting (not to mention with its search within control panel function as well), not everyone is happy with this feature. Some of us still prefer classic mode where everything is there. However, I am not going to talk about Windows Control Panel classic mode but a ‘LOL’ trick where you can change any folder to be a one stop center for your customization and configuration ‘fetish’.

The steps are as below:

  1. Create a new folder

  2. Rename the new folder as God Mode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} . Actually you can use any name you want to replace ‘God Mode’ words .{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} is compulsory.

  3. Now you can double click on that folder and enjoy 278 ways to configure/customize your computer’s setting.

Yep, it is as simple as that.
